occupation
Deputy at the Police Department

history
On a chilly autumn night, the Smith's moved from the UK to Ashwick Grove, Connecticut.  Only a few months beforehand had Mrs. Smith given birth to her beautiful baby boy, Andrew Jr.  The birth had come painfully and slowly - despite the flow of her magic within her. (Which she secretly had hoped would ease the torture.) Poor Mr. Smith had no way of helping her, but to sooth her pain by gently kissing her eyelids, her nose and her lips as he let her hold his hand tightly.

They bought the first house they laid eyes on and never regretted the decision.  It brought them four houses down from the family who became their closest confidants - the Manning's - well, at least for the parents.

The move to Ashwick Grove had not been an easy one on Mrs. Smith.  She had a hard time shifting into this new place.  However, her little baby gave her courage - plus, the Smith's had a very loving relationship.  Yes, sure they had their fits (most caused by Mrs. Smith because she has always liked to give her husband the hardest time) but they raised their little boy in a very healthy environment.

The gap in between them closed naturally, Andrew's arm lazily draped over her shoulders. Harper could not help but tense underneath his touch. It was a reflex almost, despite all the things they had been through. Andrew's existence would have easily taken up a significant amount of space in a montage of Harper's life, but to the same extent she always had to ease into their conversations and encounters.

She sauntered over with him to the couch, feeling herself dragged down. Harper allowed herself to sink into the couch beside him. "Oh honey, you know I'm not your Prince Charming," Harper informed with an eye roll, as if she has to remind him. But it was almost more that she had to remind him that he wasn't her prince either. Every time she spoke to Andrew she could not help but rack through their endless memories, some better unspoken and forgotten.

Her hazel eyes didn't leave his face. After over twenty years of seeing it, it still annoyed her how he grew up to be attractive. Maybe she would have loved him more if he had just stayed in his awkward pre teen phase, and didn't grow up to look like how he did now. With his arm still draped around her as they sat she placed her hand to the side of his face, pushing him away.

"I don't think it's completely fair you get to show up to my house and eat apple pie when I don't think you have visited me at my new apartment once," Harper pestered him. It was a lie though, considering he had been there last week. "You only ever come for Lo," she accused him with a pointed finger, wanting to see his reaction.

He was the biggest flirt she knew. Bigger than her.
