history
On a chilly autumn night, the Smith's moved from the UK to Ashwick Grove, Connecticut. Only a few months beforehand had Mrs. Smith given birth to her beautiful baby boy, Andrew Jr. The birth had come painfully and slowly - despite the flow of her magic within her. (Which she secretly had hoped would ease the torture.) Poor Mr. Smith had no way of helping her, but to sooth her pain by gently kissing her eyelids, her nose and her lips as he let her hold his hand tightly.
They bought the first house they laid eyes on and never regretted the decision. It brought them four houses down from the family who became their closest confidants - the Manning's - well, at least for the parents.
The move to Ashwick Grove had not been an easy one on Mrs. Smith. She had a hard time shifting into this new place. However, her little baby gave her courage - plus, the Smith's had a very loving relationship. Yes, sure they had their fits (most caused by Mrs. Smith because she has always liked to give her husband the hardest time) but they raised their little boy in a very healthy environment.

Date: 2013-08-01 12:29 am (UTC)Harper ran her fingers back through her hair in hopes that their parents would show up soon. She always hated losing her cool, something easily done by Andrew by simply calling her bad nick names. But he had only scratched the surface of what was the "collected" Harper Manning. The night was still young.
To the same extent though she hoped their parental unit never showed up. All four were convinced they were going to be in laws within the next five years, how the magic would continue not only in their powers, but that Harper and Andrew would have physically flawless children. Although Harper may have argued that was true, she also argued that Andrew's ears were too big for his head, just to spite him. I don't want my children to look like Dumbo, was what she said in response each and every time.
"You have barged in on me quite enough times in our lives, I hardly doubt you feel guilty about it now," Harper pointed out to him.
"I have only ever walked in on you once, and at least I didn't stare!" She said with a laugh escaping her lips, because she was accusing him of not just entering and leaving. No, of all the times he walked in on her changing, she can remember a few times he lingered. Harper lied back on the couch so that her head was against the arm rest. She slid off her shoes and kicked the side of his butt with her foot, her childish antics undying when it came to Andrew.
